European Champion wins the title 2015
RSV’s Annabel Breuer has been voted Athlete of the Year 2015 in Wetzlar. The 23-year-old National Player won the title, which has been awarded for the 21st time, this past Monday in front of around 200 guests at the Sparkasse Wetzlar Kasino.
The current European Champion got the title holding 26.8 per cent of the votes, therefore winning against Rower Mareike Adams (24.3 per cent) and Football Junior-National Player Kathrin Schermuly (21.3 per cent). A nice way to round off a very good year for Breuer, after having won the German League, the German Cup, Champions cup and then Gold at the European Championship in Worcester.

Second is Second Division Footballer Dominik Stroh-Engels (21.2 per cent) and third is Thomas Böhme with 15.3 per cent. The title of Team of the Year went to FSV Hessen Wetzlar with 26.8 per cent of the votes, just ahead of HSG Wetzlar (25.6 per cent) and Cheerleaders Funtastic Sport Wetzlar (24.5 per cent), the latter well-known to RSV fans who were able to admire their performances at break times during games.
