RSV II didn’t stand a chance against Rhinos

29:72-defeat against Wiesbaden
Second League team RSV Lahn-Dill II had to live with a painful defeat against Rhine River Rhinos. The outcome was decided early on in this 29:72 (6:20/10:42/20:60) game, despite RSV never giving up. “Apart from very few bits, we can be pleased with our performance.” Daniel Stange wasn’t too tough with his team. “With a few of our players missing, we did keep our heads up against this ambitious team.”The result was obvious pretty early on though.
The team started off alright, but later on didn’t manage a lot, so that the score was 0:12 after six minutes, before Marian Kind was the first to score for the team from the Lahn. Despite the scarily quickly growing deficit, U22-National Players Nico Dreimueller and Christopher Huber did their best to keep their team in the game. But after the 10:24 (15th min) RSV started to lack concentration whilst Wiesbaden upped their defence, so that a 18:0-run followed. After changeover and the early decision, Rhinos stepped back a bit and gave RSV II the chance to look a bit better in front of their home crowd. The game continued pretty level, and Wiesbaden were able to show off their height with topscorer Oliver Hoffmann and youngster Matthias Guentner.
