US-National player already has set his focus onto Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro
Bundesliga-team RSV Lahn-Dill have set important stones early for their future. On Monday the ten-fold German Champions have prolonged their contract with US-National Player Steve Serio early until summer 2016.
“I feel very comfortable here and want to arrange already as much as I can for the Games in 2016. The conditions playing for one of the best teams in the world here are perfect for me.” says the 25-year-old from New York City about the decision to stay longer term.
The US-American previously played for RSV Lahn-Dill from 2010 until 2012 and won the Champions Cup as well as the World Cup, before returning to Middle Hesse after taking a year’s break. “In our opinion Steve is the best player in his classification, so obviously we’re more than happy about prolonging the contract.” says coach Zeltinger about the 3.5-player. RSV-manager Andreas Joneck adds: “As the extension was wanted on both sides everything was done and dusted pretty quickly. Now we have set the base for our future planning and personnel continuity.”
So after this season RSV’s number 16 will stay for at least another two years and continue to excite his team, the management, sponsors and partners, and of course the fans with his quick and spectacular play.
