Mainhatten Skywheelers are hot for the title-defenders
The sixth game day in the First Division is approaching with the probably most exiting Hesse Derby in the last couple of years. This weekend RSV Lahn-Dill are welcomed by a so far very strong playing team, fourth in the table Mainhatten Skywheelers. The game will take place at 17.00 o’clock on Saturday in the Franz-Boehm-Sporthalle in Frankfurt-Ginheim.
Whilst the Middle-Hesse team with four wins and one defeat is in the second spot of the table and so far following their goals, the Skywheelers are having their best season of the last couple of years so far. The three-time Champion was only defeated once at the start in Zwickau, but has been undefeated since then. With their famous home-strength even managed to beat table-leader RSB Team Thueringen, the only team who were able to put a dent into RSV Lahn-Dills success.
The basis for a great performance of the Franfurt team is a strong squad that was improved this summer by taking national player Sebastian Magenheim on board. The 24-year-old Forward from Munich advanced to one of the most dangerous shooters for the Skywheelers. With an average of 12,6 points he is only behind colleagues Andreas Kress (17,4) und Sebastian Wolk (19,2) in the team coached by Malik Zahary. The fans can prepare for a high-class game, that traditionally is played fast, athletically and competitive.
The Middle-Hesse team on the other hand will start into this game strengthened in their confidence by the success against Zwickau two weeks ago, and will finally be showing up with a nearly complete squad. David Amend, Marco Zwerger and Christopher Huber, who have been preoccupied with their Second League team, will be joining again this weekend, and just a little question mark is left behind Dirk Koehler’s name, who only joined training again last Thursday after a bad flu, and therefore is not back to his usual strength.
