Coach Zeltinger: "A remarkable win against Team Thüringen"
He was the man of the match: Jan Haller, who signed this summer with RSV Lahn-Dill, scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds leading his colours to a 78:42 (20:18/38:29/59:25)-win against RSB Team Thüringen.
The 23-year old forward was also the man who scored the first points for Wetzlar in the game, but the first quarter showed a much close match than it would be in the end.
An again changed starting-lineup, due to the hand-surgery of Mina Mojtahedi, who will hopefully be back for the games after the winter-break, had to find a way to play with each other first.
After a 8:16 (6.) the home-team got finally used to the uncommon situation and it was again a team-leading Michael Paye, who scored 19 pointer Jan Haller points and 9 assists, to tie the game at a 16:16. Jan Haller and Steve Serio (30:20, 14.) now set the marks to show who was the team to keep the top-position of the league this weekend again.
„This was the most considerable win of this season yet“, Coach Zeltinger was happy about the game. „Almost all of the players were able to play at their best and our "two Thomas" and Jan Haller really compensated the missing Mina Mojtahedi perfectly“.
