The first home-appearance of the World-Championsleague Champion RSV Lahn-Dill started with a celebration of the "Cup" and honorations from Lahn-Dill-Kreis´ Landrat Wolfgang Schuster and long-time sponsor Sparkasse Wetzlar, who sent its chairman Norbert Spory. After this, an always controlled, but very entertaining win against SV Reha Augsburg by 93:35 (31:11/50:16/76:24) followed.
The day after Wetzlar´s Rollis had to travel to Bonn where long-time league opponent ASV Bonn was waiting for the Worldchampions.
Steve Serio was topscorer in both games. He scored 27 against Augsburg and 23 against Bonn, when he already ended the first half by scoring 17 points.
"Again it was our quickness and our witty playfulness what decided both games safely for us", RSV´s Coach Nicolai Zeltinger resumed happily on Sunday night, when Wetzlar took the lead in the league after 4 games.
