Finnish player moves to german champion from University of Illinois
Only a couple days ahead of the World-Championships at Birmingham RSV Lahn-Dill signed the last new player for the next season: Mina Mojtahedi from Finland will join the team moving from University of Illinois to Wetzlar.
„With a classification of 1,0 points Mina fits perfectly in our team and will give us the flexibility we were looking for“, RSV-Coach Nicolai Zeltinger happily comments the signing of a real cosmopolitan: A finnish mother and a persian father, Teheran as a city of birth, an early moving to Scotland and then raised in Helsinki, Finland the 37-year old just finished her doctoral degree in the United States in nutrition science.
At the University of Illinois she was coached by Canadian coaching-legend Mike Frogley and played together with Patricia Cisneros and german national-team member Edina Müller. Before winning the national-championship with this team twice she played also for Tapiolan Honka Espoo and the Orlando Magic Wheels, Chicago Sky and the Indiana Pacers.
