Outstanding final-performance against hosting team from Rome
Four years after winning the Champions League at Istanbul, RSV Lahn-Dill won the troühy again and for the fourth time in team-history. In the end it was an souvereign 66:42 (15:13/33:26/52:37) against Santa Lucia Sport Rom, who was hosting the tournament.
After Rome had the better start into the game and the biggest part of the crowd behind them, it was a 7:0 run for Wetzlar that brought the half-time lead.
After the break over a 39:26 (22.) and a 46:28 (26.) the selfconfidence was not breakable again and Wetzlar brought the game home safely.
