RSV Lahn-Dill lead the league after a win on the road against the Koln 99ers

75:51-success on the Rhine – High intensity a significant factor in the game

RSV Lahn-Dill came home with a win after tough and intense game on the road against the Koln 99ers on Saturday. The team from Wetzlar had a strong showing with yet another decisive league game win 75:51 (17:10 / 35:25 / 54:38).  RSV Lahn-Dill is now the frontrunner in the RBBL league, profiting from Frankfurt´s surprisingly narrow win over USC Munich 60:55.
"We are very satisfied with our performance in Cologne, said RSV coach Nicolai Zeltinger obviously pleased with the result after the game at the Bergischer Ring gym. Once again Joey Johnson demonstrated his leadership qualities with his intensity from the opening tip off. In addition, there was a strong defensive performance by Richard "Bear" Peter, who shut down the 99ers top scorer British player Joe Bestwick. The Canadian newcomer added nine assists and shot 66 percent from the field.

RSV Lahn-Dill got off to a quick start with a 9:2 lead after just four minutes of play, this gave the numerous RSV fans an early reason to cheer. The RSV Lahn-Dill finished the half strong and went into the break with a 10 point lead (35:25).
