Trainer

Janet Zeltinger, Trainer


Stages:

University of Victoria/Canada (as a pedestrian basketball player), Edmonton Inferno/Canada, British Columbia Breakers/Canada, University of Alabama/USA, Dolphins Trier (2012-2016), Rhine River Rhinos Wiesbaden (2016-2017), RSV Lahn-Dill (since 2017), since 2017 assistant coach of the German women's national team.

Successes:

Canadian Champion 1998, 2000; André Vergauwen Cup winner 2015; World Championships 2010 (Bronze), 2014 (Gold); Paralympics 2012, 2016 (participation); European Championship 2017 (Silver).   Janet Zeltinger was considered the world's best wheelchair basketball player until the end of her career and was one of the pillars of the Canadian national team in the last decade. With the World Championship title in Toronto in 2014, the exceptional athlete crowned her active career, which has already led her to the Dolphins Trier and the Rhine River Rhinos from Wiesbaden in the RBBL. With her great experience in the field of pedestrian and wheelchair basketball, Janet Zeltinger moved to the coaching position in 2017 and at the same time became assistant coach of the German women's national team.

Günther Mayer, Co-Trainer, Trainer

BSC Rollers Zwickau, RSV Bayreuth.

Successes:

2009 German Champion with RSC-Rollis Zwickau. Born in the Allgäu and living in Franconia, the long-time Bundesliga player has an excellent reputation, which he has earned as a player, coach and team manager at RSV Bayreuth, in Santo Stefano in the Italian Serie A, at BSC Rollers Zwickau or with the German junior national team. He recently won the silver medal with the U22 team at the European Championships in Italy. With a strong social competence and a great deal of professional expertise, Günther Mayer is a perfect complement to head coach Janet Zeltinger.

Petra Michel-Leutheuser, Crew, Teamphysician


Petra Michel-Leutheuser is not only team doctor for RSV Lahn-Dill but shares her extraordinary skills in orthopedics with the german national-teams in wheelchair basketball too. You can reach her in her own doctor´s office in Gießen, Wilhelmstraße 12. Check out her website here

Larissa Klaas, Crew, team supervisor


Larissa Klaas has been a member of the wider environment of RSV Lahn-Dill for many years and has overseen the Bundesliga team of RSV Lahn-Dill since the 2020/2021 season. She ensures that the team and every single player in the competition lack nothing and everything is well organized in advance. She is also the long-term partner of our photographer Armin Diekmann.

Daniel Schmidt, Physiotherapist


At the beginning of 2021, we expanded our medical team to include Daniel Schmidt. The physiotherapist, who comes from Hüttenberg and lives in Wetzlar, originally comes from handball and contributes the important medical know-how with team doctor Petra Michel-Leutheuser and his colleague Philip Schmitz. Daniel Schmidt supervises the team during the week and at numerous games in the RBBL.

Holger Wagner, Technics


Since the summer of 2020, Holger Wagner has ensured that the high-value sports equipment of the German record champion is and remains operational at all times. The spinning specialist comes from Buseck and thus seamlessly continues the long tradition of committed and qualified team members from the community east of Giessen.

Armin Diekmann, Photographer


Auch Armin Diekmann gehört seit vielen Jahren zur Stammbesetzung des RSV Lahn-Dills. Er sorgt als Fotograf des Teams für wichtiges Bildmaterial für die zahlreichen Kommunikationskanäle des Bundesligisten. Sebastian Block, Coordination Home Games


Sebastian Block has been organizing, coordinating, and accompanying the home games of RSV Lahn-Dill in the Wetzlar August-Bebel-Sporthalle and now also in the Buderus Arena Wetzlar for many years. He ensures a smooth technical and logistical process in the run-up, during the games and in the follow-up as well as a visually rounded home appearance of the German record champion in the wheelchair basketball capital Wetzlar. Niclas Schubert, Head of the office


The student of the field of "Technology and Event Management" at the Technical University of Central Hesse has been part of the office of the six-time Champions League winner since the spring. Since his internship at the beginning of his career, the former footballer now builds the bridge between his field of study and the organizational day-to-day business of the Wetzlarer Bundesliga team as an employee of the club.

Nicolai Zeltinger, Management, Partner


Previous clubs:

BSV Roleber, Godesberger TV, SG Sechtem, MTV Gießen, RSV Bayreuth, Canadian men's national team, German men's national team. Even active in the Regionalliga Südwest of pedestrian basketball players, he switched to the rolling profession in 1994 and won the first German championship title with RSV Lahn-Dill as a player coach just four years later. Today he is the international interface of the association with his countless contacts in the European and non-European countries. Nicolai Zeltinger still benefits from his many years of work for the Canadian Federation, for which he worked before his appointment as head national coach by the German Disabled Sports Association. Sven Köppe, Management


The studied lawyer, who is part of the successfull law office Mohr & Köppe, is not just job-related specialized of the focus sport-law. He ist the networker with many contacts in the regional environment (in economy and sport) in the RSV-Management family. The passionated golfer is also the jouristic adviser of the Worldcup winner from 2010 and a contact person for sportive and political panels in sport. For years he works for the German Wheelchair - Sportassociation and the RBBL as an abstractor. Occupational he specialized himself to the districts tenancy law, contract law, sport law and association law. He’s a member of the High-Hessian law-association, the working group sport law, employment law, tenancy law in the DAV and abstractor oft he Hessian Soccer-Association plus abstractor of the property regulars’ table in Gießen. Andreas Joneck, director of the operator-company, Management


The director of the operator-company learned the sport from the pike. Formerly a basketball player himself and owner of a trainer- and referees license of the DBB he early had a journalistic view of the sport. To his know-how belongs that he knows the sport basketball from all its perspectives: as an athlete, as a referee, as a coach, as a journalist and as an operative. From 2001 to 2016 he was the chairman of the committee for public relations at the German Federation. With his own sport agency he is responsible for the marketing of the national team today. In the years 2004 (Athen), 2008 (Beijing), 2012 (London) and 2016 (Rio de Janeiro) he operated as a press-attache for the national paralympic committee.
