RSV Lahn-Dill voted Team of the Year in Hessen

Expert and audience selection by Landessportbund and hr televison

RSV Lahn-Dill has been voted Team of the Year 2021 in Hesse. In the election of the Landessportbund Hessen (lsbh) and the Hessischer Fernsehen, the reigning Champions League winner prevailed with 38.6 percent of all votes cast against the German Cup winner in volleyball, the United Volleys from Frankfurt, and the Bundesliga footballers of Eintracht Frankfurt.

With this award, the Landessportbund Hessen has been honoring sporting highlights and special personal achievements in Hessian sport for many years. In addition to the public vote, the votes of experts from the sports editorial offices of Hessian media are included in the final result with 50 percent.

“This title has a special significance for this because the election reflects sympathy values through the vote of the people in our state and at the same time the professional expertise of the Hessian media representatives. We are very proud and very happy about this high award,” says RSV Managing Director Andreas Joneck, who adds: “We would like to thank everyone who gave us their vote, this is also a great motivation for us”.

For the Wetzlar rollis, this prestigious title is already the fourth award of its kind. Already in the years 2009, 2011 and 2012 the RSV Lahn-Dill could look forward to the award Team of the Year in Hesse.

At the same time, we also congratulate all other winners in this competition such as swimmer Sarah Köhler, judoka Eduard Trippel or table tennis coach Jörg Roskopf.

But we are especially happy for sprinter Felix Streng who has brought a second title to Wetzlar. The gold and silver medalist from Tokyo has become Parasport of the Year. Our congratulations also go to Svenja Mayer from the Rhine River Rhinos, who together with shooter Natascha Hiltrop has landed on first place among the paraathletes.
