RSV are hosting for Hyerés, Padua, Sassari and Wolverhampton
Seven weeks before the start at Wetzlar August-Bebel-Sporthalle we are already busy with the EuroLeague. IWBF, represented in Wetzlar by Croatian technical delegate Ivan Dabo, have released the schedule for the tournament on the 7th and 8th of March only a few days ago.
It will start off on Friday already at 11:45 o’clock with Joe Bestwick’s former club Wolverhampton Rhinos against French runner-up Hyerés Handi Basket. RSV will have their first game on the same day at 15:45 against Hyerés as well. The hosting team’s second game of the day will then be against Padua Millenium Basket at 20:15. The tournament continues on Saturday at 10:30, before the Wetzlar Rollis play a remake of the Champions League Finals 2004 and 2006 against Sardinian team GSD Anmic Sassari from Italy. The RSV game against Wolverhampton Rhinos at 19:30 will be the tenth and last game of the EuroLeague weekend.
The two top teams of this round qualify for the final round of the Champions League from the 2nd to the 4th of May in the Spanish capital Madrid. Spot number three secures a place at the final round of André-Vergauwen-Cup from the 25th until the 27th of April in Getafe / Spain. Tickets will be available at home games at August-Bebel-Sporthalle or at the RSV Lahn-Dill office in Wetzlar from the 17th of January. There will be day tickets valid for all five games of the day for 14,- Euro (11,- discounted), or the two-day-ticket for all ten games for 25,- Euros (19,- discounted). Members of the Fan Club will get 1,- € discount on the day ticket, or 2,- € discount on the two-day-ticket. Season tickets for Bundesliga-, playoff- or DRS Cup-games are sadly not valid for this special event.
