Effortless start into the new year for RSV Lahn-Dill II

77:25 over bottom-of-the-league Lux Rollers
Second-League-team RSV Lahn-Dill II celebrated their start into the year befitting their rank. Against last-in-league team Lux Rollers the team accomplished an obvious 77:25 (14:4/31:14/56:20) and now are in spot three of the table. The guests were noticeably weakened as they had to start without two of their main players and therefore had to change their whole usual line-up. RSV Lahn-Dill II started impressively and after three minutes (8:0) had not missed anything yet and presented themselves very strongly.
With a difficult hook-shot Luxembourg’s Phillipe Faber gave the first proof of life for his team, but they still stayed harmless, so that RSV II were able to play their young rookie Selina Rausch for the first time after only eight minutes. After the first quarter RSV II had four weak minutes (18:6, 13th min), but via an 8:0-run they managed to put an obvious 31:14 on the scoreboard. In his speech during half-time RSV II-Coach Daniel Stange demanded a more concentrated performance of his players. “We have three difficult games ahead of us, we cannot afford to gear down against easy opposition.” Not too happy with the game in the third quarter he had to add words of praise for his team’s reaction: “They did what I asked them to, we can be very happy.”
A 12:0-run for RSV did not leave any options for Lux Rollers, and the team also managed to not lose their form with continuously changing line-ups. In the following three weeks there are defining tasks waiting for table-third RSV Lahn-Dill. Coming weekend they will play away against 1. FCK Rolling Devils, and after that they will host for Ravensburg and Ulm within one week.
