Injury-hit Jena Caputs „go to the dogs“

100:40-win against the team from Jena
RSV Lahn-Dill beat the Jena Caputs by 100:40 (27:8/48:18/88:20). The injury-hit team of former RSV-captain Lars Christink did not have a chance at Wetzlar.
900 spectators at the August-Bebel-Sporthalle had to go without seeing Santiago Mora and Jena´s topscoring player Ahmet Coskun and missed also Lars Christink, who had to stay home due to illness, but they saw a RSV-team that never stopped stepping on the gas-pedal.
Altogether Jena had to suffer 36 turnovers and was never able to compete against the strong defense of the German champion. It was Gesche Schünemann who scored the 100-mark and finished the RSV point-collection; Jena could win the last quarter but was never close to a chance for winning the game.
„Though it sounds strange it is a hard job to play against such an injury-hit team for us. Altogether I am satisfied with the concentration my team showed up with." Headcoac Zeltinger summed it up.
