"World-class" defense – Richard Peter unstoppable
A sensational and impressive team-performance with a not that highly expected 86:48 (24:15/46:22/65:37)-win against the rivals from RSC Zwickau brings the German Cup back to Wetzlar.
When RSV scored 40:17 (18.) it looked like a desaster for the hosting team from Zwickau. Richard Peter scored 16 of his 28 points in the first ten minutes of the game and although Zwickau tried to come back in the game several times, latest the 71:39 (32.) brought the decision to the game.
In its tenth final the team from Wetzlar won the seventh German Cup in club history.
