RSV sets first landmark against Rome

Clear 82:64-success ends prelimaries for RSV at Bordeaux
Four out of four- that´s how the RSV Lahn-Dill returns with back to Wetzlar after qualifying for the final round of the european Championsleague at Rome without losing a game during the prelimaries at Bordeaux.
The 82:64 (19:15/42:27/66:43)-win against the other qualified team, the then hosting Lottomatica Elecom Rome, set a first landmark for the games at the end of April.
„We wanted to set a sign for the finals“, Assistant Coach Bruce Enns told his team ahead of the game and the team followed his words.
After Paye´s 27:18 (15.)  Lottomatica showed his strength and cut the game down to 27:23 (16.) but although there was called the fourth foul against Joey Johnson the RSV came back concentrated to a 38:23 (18.).
After halftime-break Wetzlar decided the game quickly (52:34 (23.)) and put no doubt to the fact that the RSV Lahn-Dill will be one of the top-teams to go for the cup at the Champions League final-round at Rome April 29th to May 1st.
